Derek (Mono) Monaghan

Cabra, Dublin

Monaghan, Derek (Mono) - (Tragically) - 17th August 2022 - late of Finglas and formerly Cabra, Dublin 7. Predeceased by his dad Patrick Monaghan. Beloved husband of Elayne, devoted dad of Adam, Zara and Sienna, beloved son of Noeleen, loving brother of Michelle, Robbie, Graham and Leanne. Derek (Mono) will be very sadly missed by his wife, children, mother, sisters, brothers, sisters and brothers-in-law, mother and father-in-law, his beloved second family Bohemians Football Club, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a very wide circle of friends.               

 

May he Rest in Peace.

 

Reposing in the Player’s Lounge, Bohemians Football Club, Dalymount, on Sunday 21st August from 5pm and Monday 22nd August from 6pm.

 

Removal on Tuesday morning to Christ the King Church, Cabra, for Requiem Mass at 12pm, followed by Cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.

 

Family flowers only please.

 

The family have requested in memory of “Mono”  for everyone to wear his beloved Bohemian colours.

Please note there is no parking in the grounds of Christ the King Church. Please be respectful of our neighbours when parking in the roads around the Church. There is parking available in Precious Blood Church on Faussagh Avenue which is a five minute walk and in the yard of Christ the King Schools at the back of the Church. There will also be limited parking in Naomh Fionnbarra GAA club.
