Unexpectedly after a brief illness at Cork University Hospital. Beloved husband of Catherine (née Fennessy) dear father of Louise, Claire, Paul, Alan and Brian and dear brother of Mary. Derek will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, daughters, sons, sister, grandchildren Conor, Ruairi, Saoirse, Tadhg, Ciara and Lily – Belle, daughter in law Erina, son in law Jack, niece Gail, nephew Ronan, sisters in law, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Derek will repose at Cahill’s Funeral Home, Newtown Rd., Cobh P24Y383 on Sunday November 24th from 3pm with prayers at 5.30pm. Removal on Monday November 25th at 10.45am from funeral home to St. Colman’s Cathedral for 11.15am Requiem Mass followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium Ringaskiddy
