DERMOT BATES (ex Warrant Officer, Irish Naval Service) (Bromley Court, Midleton & late of Bridgetown, Co. Wexford). Passed away on June 23rd 2024 unexpectedly and peacefully at home.

Beloved husband of Kathleen (née Barry, Ballinacurra), loving father of Dermot and Paul, father-in-law of Marie and Niamh, grandad of Patrick and Bobby.

Predeceased by his loving parents Bridie and John Bates and by his brother Seamus.

Sadly missed also by his brother John and sister Phil, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Dermot will repose at Hyde's Funeral Home, Drury's Avenue, Midleton on Tuesday 25th from 5pm-6.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday 26th at 1245pm in the Star of the Sea Church, Haulbowline Naval Base followed by cremation at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.
