That death has occurred of Dermot Brady, Corroneary, Aughavas, Co. Leitrim, Thursday 22nd January 2026 at Sligo University Hospital and formerly in the loving care of the staff and nurses of St. Patrick’s Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon.

 

 

Predeceased by his beloved wife; Kathleen, brothers; Colum, Finbarr and Eamonn.

 

 

Adored father to Siobhán, Diarmuid, Niall and Seán. Sadly missed by his family his brothers; Aidan and Fintan, daughter-in-law; Elizabeth, Maria, cherished grandchildren; Ciaran, Tadgh, Cian, Aaron and Lia, his extended family neighbours and friends.

Dermot will repose at St. Patrick’s Hospital Church, Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday 24th January from 4.00pm concluding with prayers at 6.30pm.

 

Remains to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Aughavas on Sunday morning for funeral Mass at 11.30am followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery.

 

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to St. Patrick’s Hospital Comfort Fund c/o McKeon’s Funeral Directors, Cloone or any family member.
