Dermot Cranny

Kilmacanogue, Wicklow / Bray, Wicklow

Dermot Cranny of Glencormac, Kilmacanogue and formerly of Bray, Co. Wicklow, passed away peacefully on Sunday 6th July 2025, in the loving care of his family and in the dedicated, patient and gentle care of the staff of Kinvara House Nursing Home, Bray.

 

Devoted husband of the late Martha (née Dempsey) and Ann (née McDonnell), beloved Dad of Mairead, adored “Gogoc” of Bronwen and Harrison and treasured brother of Alan (Canada). Dermot will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, by Mairead’s partner Graham, Bronwen’s partner Jack, Harrison’s partner Rain, sisters-in-law Aileen and Peggy, Aileen’s partner Paddy Kelly, nieces Caroline and Fiona in Canada and by his extended family, friends, comrades in the Red Cross and neighbours.

 

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, on Sunday (13th July) from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. Removal on Monday (14th July) at 9.30am from the funeral home, walking to St. Peter’s Church, Little Bray, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00am, followed by private cremation.

 

No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
