DERMOT CRONIN

Mount Pleasant Avenue, Friars Walk, Cork / Farnanes, Cork

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DERMOT CRONIN, in his 95th year, founder of Cronins Coaches, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

 

Beloved husband of the late Joan (née Murphy, Coachford) and adored father of Nora (Collins), Maura, Niall, Anne (Brady), Margaret (Pisarnik), Karen (Dara) and Derry.

 

Dermot will be forever missed by his loving children, his grandchildren Joanne, Niall C, Andrew, Niamh, Aisling, Sean, Aaron, Meg, Emer, Adam, Katy, Ellen, Rory, Cara and Tadgh, by his sons-in-law Jim, Noel, Walter and Mark and his daughters-in-law Jodeane and Maeve, his 11 great-grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Pat (Barry Murphy), Betty (Browne) and Nora (Sweeney), his nephews and nieces, his close friends Mel and Lee, his extended family, his large worldwide circle of friends, his very kind neighbours and his beloved Skål Friends.

 

He will be fondly remembered by an extensive group of associates and friends in the Coach Industry and Tourism Sector.

 

Predeceased by his parents Neilus and Nora and his siblings Tadḡ, Maureen, Nora, Peggy and Chrissie.

 

Dermot’s family are deeply grateful to all those who helped to care for him at home and special thanks to Dr Colman Twomey, Joan O’Reilly and the Home Care teams in HSE and Marymount.

Reposing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Turners Cross on Friday (April 17th) from 5pm to 6pm.

 

Requiem Mass on Saturday (April 18th) at 1pm in Church of the Assumption, Ballyphehane (T12 XT2X) which will be streamed on My Condolences.ie

 

Funeral afterwards to St Mary and St John Churchyard Cemetery, Ballincollig (P31 F677)
