The death has occurred of Dermot Hayes, 13 Old Military Barrack’s, Ennis and formerly of Kells, Corofin, Co Clare on 3rd January 2026. It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Dermot Hayes, our Comrade, aged 71 years. Dermot died peacefully in the care of the ICU team at the Mater Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie Hayes and his brother Myles. Dermot will be deeply missed by his loving wife Marian (nee Molloy), adoring daughters Aimee and Marese, son-in-law Emmet, brothers John David, Gerard, Liam, Benedict, Eddie, sisters Andrea, Bernadette, Sheelagh, Noeleen, Martha, Monica and Loretta, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, mother-in-law May, father-in-law Michael John, extended family, neighbours and his wide circle of friends and comrades.

Reposing in St Patrick's Hall, Corofin (Eircode V95RD88) on Sunday 11th January 2026 from 4 to 7pm. A celebration of life ceremony will take place in St. Patrick's Hall on Monday 12 January 2026 at 11am with burial afterwards in Laghtagoona Cemetery .
