The death has occurred of

Dermot McManus,

40 O’Growney Tce., Kells, Co. Meath.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family

at Cavan General Hospital on Thursday, 9th May 2024.

Pre deceased by his parents Peter & Julia,

brothers Joe, Ronnie & Gerry his sisters Maureen & Bridie and his cherished granddaughter Natalie.

So sadly missed by his loving wife Nano, his son Peter, his daughters Miriam (Kenny) & Sheila (Alan),

his adored grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Emma, Cara, Lucy, Àine, Ross & Luke,

his sister Veronica (Christy), sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews,

neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

Reposing at his daughter Miriam's residence, Cortown, Kells A82 F5X8

on Saturday, 11th May, from 2pm to 8pm.

Removal on Sunday morning from his own residence at 11.45 am

to arrive at St. Colmcille's Church for 12.15 Mass,

which can be viewed on kellsparish.ie

Burial afterwards in St Colmcille's Cemetery.

Dermot will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father,

grandfather, brother and friend to many.

 

He had a great love of all sports with particular loyalty to Manchester United Football Club and team.

A great sense of dress always looking neat and respectful with a very quiet and gentle nature.

Particular thanks to the wonderful nurses, doctors, care assistants, and the pastoral team

for their care and compassion to Dermot and his family which will always be greatly appreciated.
