MURPHY – Dermot (Irishtown, Dublin 4), March 1st 2026, peacefully, at St Vincent’s University Hospital, after a long illness bravely fought. Beloved husband of Anne, much loved father of Anna, Dermot, Barry, Aoife and the late Baby Anthony. Loved and remembered always by his family, grandchildren Hannah, Holly, Adam, Daniel, Ellie, Olivia, Fiadh, Ella and Mia, sons-in-law Gareth and Ryan, daughters-in-law Jennie and Sam, brothers Derek, Hubert and Pat, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, the extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Pre-deceased by his sister Bernie.

May he rest in peace.

Dermot will be at home on Tuesday (March 3) from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (March 4) at 10 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Ringsend, afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium.
