Dermot O'Shaughnessy

The death has occurred of Dermot O’Shaughnessy of Ballyroe Upper, Kilfinane, Co Limerick.

Dermot died peacefully at home after a long illness he bore with immense stoicism, bravery and patience.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Marian (née Garry) brother Charles, sister in law Kate and brothers in law Richard and Noel, he will be deeply mourned by his sister Mary Nash, (Newcastlewest) daughter Deirdre, son-in-law Brian Stokes, grandsons Ferdia, Oscar and Donncha, and his brothers and sisters in law Tony, Michael, Dermot, Frank and Kieran Garry, Colette Glynn and Philomena Colleran.

He will be sadly missed by his loyal friend and carer Anthony Palmer, nieces Sara and Kate Nash, nephews Leo and Ryan O’Shaughnessy and his wonderfully supportive neighbours and friends especially the O’Doherty and O’Riordan families.

Dermot will repose at home in Kilfinane on Monday (May 20th) from 6-8pm. Mass at St Andrew’s Church, Kilfinane at 12pm Tuesday (21st May). Cremation at Island Crematorium Ringaskiddy, Co Cork, 3pm Tuesday. Family flowers only please.
