Dermot "Pops" Cooney

Coralstown, Kinnegad, Westmeath

Dermot "Pops" Cooney, Coralstown, Kinnegad, Co Westmeath, passed away 26th September, following a short illness bravely borne, (peacefully) in the excellent care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cuin Suite, Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, with his heartbroken family by his side. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Mary Kate, brothers Mattie and Vincent, sisters Kay and Dolores and his infant grandson Shane. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his devoted son Jack, daughters Lourda (Giles) and Dawn, their mother Patricia (Pat), his cherished and adored grandchildren Ella, Brían, Marie, Alan (& Chloe), Mark, Darren, David "Pa", Leanne (& Dave), Aoife, Hannah, Podge and Jack, great-grandchildren Hilary and Hugo, daughter-in-law Elaine, son-in-law Larry, brothers Paddy, Sean, Declan, Martin and Nicholas, sisters Helen, Mary and Una, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours, his Portugal pals and a wide circle of friends.

May Pop's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at John Healy's Chapel of Rest, Rochfortbridge (N91R291) on Wednesday (27th Sept) from 3pm until Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Agnes' Church, Coralstown. Link for the Mass livestream below.

Cremation will take place afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4pm. This can be viewed live on the following link https://www.churchservices.tv/lakelands. Family flowers only, please.
