Des (Desi) Kenny

In the late hours of December 2nd, 2025, Des, died peacefully with family by his side, in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Galway. Predeceased by his parents Des and Maureen and by his sister Jane.

Deeply mourned by his devoted wife Anne, children Deirdre, Des, Aisling and Eimear, sons-in-law Mark, Joe and Francis, daughter-in-law Pamela and his much loved and adoring grandchildren Árón, Marc Óg, Darragh, Deasúin, Ella, Emily, Frankie and Andie.

Sadly missed also by his brothers Tom, Gerry and Conor and sister Monica, brothers-in-law Billy and Frank, sisters-in-law Maureen, Ann and Geraldine, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.

La vie est agréable. La mort est paisible.

C’est la transition qui est difficile.

Funeral arrangements:

Friday 5th December, 2025 - Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. There is no Removal to the Church this evening.

Saturday 6th December, 2025 - Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Des on arrival at the Jesuit Church, Sea Road at 10 a.m. Following Mass, Des will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Mass will not be live streamed
