Peacefully, surrounded by his family at St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Des, deeply regretted by his wife Betty, daughter Shirley, son Des, grandchildren Elizabeth, Eoghan, Leah & Charlie, son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Yvonne, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private family funeral will take place (50 mourners) on Saturday with Mass at 11 o’clock in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Dangan followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message for Des' family in the ‘Condolences’ section below.
The funeral cortege will travel from Kilcock and pass his home at 10:45am on Saturday morning en route to the church, friends and neighbours are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.
