SMYTH Des (Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin and formerly Oldcastle, Co. Meath) (Formerly Bank of Ireland) November 13, 2025. Peacefully in his 80th year, following a long illness bravely fought with his usual good humour, in the loving care of his family and the amazing staff of the Beacon Hospital 6th Floor. Beloved husband of Alice, loving Dad of Sara, Grace & Susie, and adored grandad of Anna, Meadhbh, Dan, Órlaith, Fionn, Ida, Tom, Noah and Willow. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Liam, John & Robin, sister-in-law Cathy, nephews, nieces, cousins and wide circle of neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Sunday afternoon, November 16, at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road, Dublin 4 (opposite UCD Flyover) from 3 pm to 5 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning, November 17, at 10 am in the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion, followed by Cremation Prayers in the Garden Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium at 12:45 pm approx.
