Desmond (Des) McGUIGAN

McGuigan Desmond (Des) - Clonskeagh (formerly Clontarf) 2nd July 2024 (peacefully) after a short illness surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the ICU staff at the Beacon Hospital.

A devoted husband and father, Des will be forever loved and always remembered by his heartbroken wife Eva and son Aindriú, his dear sister Ann, brother Kevin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

He will be especially missed by his lifelong friends and colleagues from the Irish Aviation Authority at Air Traffic Control, all his musician friends from both the Dublin Orchestral Players and traditional musicians from all around Ireland and especially from Miltown Malbay. Des had so many friends from sailing to German classes and furniture restoration. Family flowers only.

Reposing at his residence on Thursday, 4th July, and Friday, 5th July, from 16.00 to 19.00 each day. Removal on Saturday morning, 6th July, at 10.30am to the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00 followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park.
