The death has occurred of
Desmond (Des) MURPHY
MURPHY Desmond (Des) (Glasnevin, Dublin, formerly of Carlingford Road, Drumcondra and retired An Post, Finglas Depot) April 16th 2020. Peacefully in his 86th year after a short illness in the loving care of his family and the staff of St. Agnes’s Ward, Mater Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Adrienne and Desmond and beloved brother of Eileen and the late Joseph. Sadly missed by his family, grandson Stephen, son-in-law David, brother-in-law T.J., nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends (especially Hattie and Rexy).
Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place. Those who wish to, may leave a message of condolence in the “Condolences” section below on this www.rip.ie page. A memorial Mass to celebrate his life will take place at a later date. No flowers please. Donations in lieu to the Mater Hospital Foundation, 54 Eccles Street, Dublin 7 or at https://www.materfoundation.ie. House private. Special word of thanks to the staff of Beneavin Manor for their wonderful care of Des.
