Desmond (Des) Tracy

Gorey, Wexford / Dublin

TRACY, Desmond (Des), 12th January 2026, Gorey, Co. Wexford, late of Leopardstown, TC Plumbing & Heating, and former Secretary of the Irish Karate Control Board. Suddenly but peacefully after a short illness surround by his heartbroken wife and family in the tender loving care of the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital.

 

Beloved husband and best friend of Elaine, loving and much-loved dad of Suzanne, Sharon, Jonathan, Karl and Ross. Des will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife and family, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, his twelve adored grandchildren, his dear sister Maureen, brothers Bobby, Brian, Derek and Tony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives, and friends especially those in Woodenbridge Golf Club and Ballymoney Golf Society.

 

May he Rest in Peace.

 

Reposing at his son Jonathan’s residence this Thursday evening,15th January from 5pm – 7pm (Complimentary car parking is available in St. Pius X National School Grounds, Fortfield Park, Terenure, Dublin 6W | Eircode: D6W PN27). Removal on Friday morning to Terenure College Chapel, Templeogue Road arriving for 10.30 am Requiem Mass followed by burial thereafter in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Gorey, Co. Wexford, (approximate time of arrival 1.45pm).
