Desmond (Dessie) Dowd

Desmond (Dessie) Dowd, Carranstown, Duleek Co Meath and formally of Park View, Drogheda, Co Louth. On the 26th of August 2025. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his mother Peggy and father Michael, brother Jerome, sister Miriam and his grandson Dylan.

Beloved husband of Anne and loving father to Martina, Michael, Thomas, Paul, Debbie and Trena. Dear brother to Ray, Mal and Breda. Dessie will be sadly missed, always remembered and adored by his wife, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Rosie, Annemarie and Elisha, sons-in-law Gary and Gary, sister-in-law Philomena, all 14 cherished grandchildren, his extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home (A92 TV20) on Thursday 28th August from 5pm until 8pm. Duleek AFC are kindly facilitating parking for those attending.

Removal on Friday morning to St Cianan's Church Duleek for Requiem mass at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Duleek. For those who cannot attend the mass it can be viewed online using the following link: Funeral Mass
