Desmond Patrick Scullion

Desmond Patrick Scullion of Greystones, Co. Wicklow, and formerly of Bray, Co. Wicklow, December 1st 2025 passed away peacefully after a short illness, with his family by his side, in the comfort and care of Wicklow Hospice.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Estelle, daughters Sarah-Jane and Rebecca, son-in-law Keith, grandchildren Charlotte, Zack and Arabella, sister Colette, his faithful companion Penny, and his extended family and friends. (Predeceased by his siblings Deirdre, Nuala, Noel and Sheelagh).

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Wicklow Hospice or the Day Care Club at St. Joseph's Centre, Shankill. Des was welcomed with exceptional warmth, care and kindness at the club from Minda, Kathleen, Siobhan, Sarah, Carmel and the team. He truly loved his time there, and the support shown to him and his family throughout his dementia journey will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

The family would also like to express their deep gratitude for the exceptional care provided by St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown and Dr. Joan Cunningham and her team, along with the nurses and staff at Wicklow Hospice, whose compassion and dedication brought great comfort to Des and his family.

Des will be Reposing at his home on Thursday 4th December from 5pm to 7pm. House private at all other times please. Funeral Mass on Friday 5th December at 10am in The Holy Rosary Church, Greystones followed by Interment in Redford Cemetery.
