Dessie (Desmond) Sweeney

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Dessie (Desmond) Sweeney, 9, Cheshire Apartments, Long Lane, Letterkenny (F92 AK83) and formerly Sallaghagrane and Thorndale. Predeceased by his parents Evelyn and Donal and deeply regretted by his brother Andrew and partner Clodagh, Laytown (Co. Meath), devoted staff and residents of Cheshire apartments, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his late residence on Wednesday 24th January from 2.30pm until Rosary at 9pm and on Thursday (25th) from 12 noon, concluding at 4.30pm with removal to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for reception prayers at 5pm.

Reposing overnight for Requiem Mass at 11am on Friday 26th January which can be viewed live on the webcam for St. Eunans Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the family plot in Drumoghill cemetery.
