Diarmuid O'Byrne

O’Byrne, Diarmuid (Rathmines, Dublin 6) 20th April 2024. Died peacefully in his 94th year at St James’ s Hospital after a short illness, in the presence of his dearly beloved wife Bernadette (née Hughes) and their son Hugh. Predeceased by their dear daughter Karen, his sister Nóirín, twin sister Gráinne , his brother Gearóid and Abigail’s mum, Elaine.

Cherished poppy to Abigail and George. Diarmuid will be deeply and greatly missed by his close and loving family, his brother Cormac, sisters Aidin, Breeda, Fionnuala and Maeve, sisters-in-law Maeve and Mary Hughes, Gráinne O Brion, his special nephew Conor, George’s mum Áine, his many nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road D6W N279, on Thursday evening (April 25th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Refuge of Sinners, Lower Rathmines Road, D06 AK19, for Funeral Mass at 10am which may be viewed on the parish web camera https://www.churchservices.tv/maryimmacdublin followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.
