On Wednesday January 15, Dirk, completed his life’s journey in his 57th year, peacefully after a tough illness bravely borne, at home with his dearly loved partner Lorraine and her daughter Ailbhe, together with family by his side. Dirk is predeceased by his parents Thérèse (née Margetts) and Eamon.

 

Deeply mourned by Lorraine, Ailbhe and his siblings Ian, Yvonne, Jak, Alan, his twin brother Erik, Bruce, Gail and Heather, uncles and aunts, his many Margetts and Fitzpatrick relatives and friends.

Sunday, January 19, 2025 Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5 p.m. to 6.30pm.

 

Monday, January 20, 2025 Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Dirk on arrival at St. Mary’s Church, Claddagh at 11 a.m. Mass will be live streamed: Here A Committal Service will take place at 2 p.m. at Shannon Crematorium. Live steaming link is available Here Password is FDG14
