Doctor Mohammed Khair ALAYA

The death has occurred of Doctor Mohammed Khair Alaya (of Muhajreen Shora, Damascus, Syria, and more recently Dublin, Ireland)

Passed away on August 13th peacefully after a short illness and a courageous fight. Deeply missed by his adoring children Tayseer and Fátimah. Pre-deceased by his parents, father Mohammed Tayseer Alaya and mother Ilham Samman, his siblings Fawaz, Hala and Nasser. Survived by his heartbroken sister Maysoon, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Missed by all in Damascus, Dublin and beyond; his immediate and extended family and many friends, his work colleagues especially at Omaya Hospital and his neighbours.

Unwavering gratitude to all the healthcare professionals who cared for Mohammed throughout his entire journey, especially the team at Silver Birch, Connolly hospital, the Royal Hospital Donnybrook and St. Vincent’s Hospital.

We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ.

Reposing in the Dublin Mosque South Circular Road on Thursday August 14th. All family and friends are welcome to all proceedings:
-Reposing at 13:00pm (sharp)
-Midday prayers 13:47pm (sharp)
-Janaza (funeral prayer) immediately after midday prayer
-Departure for burial 14:05pm
-Burial at Newcastle, Kildare 3pm (sharp)

Modest clothing advised in the Mosque with light head wrap for women.
