DOWNEY (Little Island and Glanmire Co. Cork): On September 13th ,2025, peacefully, surrounded by his family, DON, dearly loved partner of Gina, much loved dad of John and stepdad of Jen, Claire and Jake, adored grandad of Sophie, Isabel and Ronan, loving son of John and the late Eleanor, dear brother of Ken and Julie.

 

 

Sadly missed by his loving family, nephews Seán and Daniel, niece Sarah, aunts, uncles, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

Reposing at the Mayfield Funeral Old Youghal Road, of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd; On Tuesday (September 16th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

 

Requiem Mass at 10.00am on Wednesday (September 17th) in St. Joseph’s Church, Little Island.

 

Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co.Cork
