Donal Bowe

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a short and unexpected illness , passed away at St Luke's hospital in Kilkenny.
Predeceased by his twin sister Sr. Shiela and his sister Sr. Mary (Presentation Sisters), his brothers Ned and Tommy. Donal will be sadly missed by his wife Mai and children Thomas, Kathleen, Julie, Patrick and Donie, his brother Johnny his grandchildren Ella and Alfie, son in law Michael, daughters in law Irene and Siobhan, sisters in law Alice and Mary (Toronto), brothers in law Paddy and Tom (Toronto), nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends and the wider community of Durrow, including the Legion of Mary of which he was a lifelong member.

Donal will repose at his residence at Capponellan House, Durrow, this Wednesday evening from 3pm to 8pm, concluding with rosary. Funeral prayers on Thursday evening at 6.15pm followed by removal to the Holy Trinity Church, Durrow. Funeral Mass on Friday at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Luke's Hospital and Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny, for the exceptional care Donal received during his brief time there.
