Donal (Donie) Gorey, Raheny, Dublin 5 and formerly of Barrettstown, Knocktopher, Co. Kilkenny.

Peacefully, in the exceptional care of the staff of Care Choice Nursing Home, Northern Cross, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, 8th April 2025.

Pre-deceased by his parents James and Margaret, brothers James, Neddy, Denis, Joe and Tom, his sister Bridie and his daughter-in-law Clare.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family, his wife Catherine, sons Jim and Paddy, daughter-in-law Dorothy, grandchildren Daniel, Sean and Ruth, brothers-in-law Fr. Pat Duggan and Liam Duggan, sister-in-law Brigid Kearns, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May Donie Rest in Peace

Reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Portmarnock, Dublin (Eircode D13 EOA2) on Thursday, 10th April from 2pm to 4pm followed by removal to The Carmelite Church, Knocktopher, Kilkenny (Eircode R95 AP2K), arriving at 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday morning, 11th April at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
