The death has occurred of
Dónal Garvey
Garvey (Killumney, Ovens and late of Labasheeda, Co. Clare) On February 23rd 2026, very peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at the Mercy University Hospital, and surrounded by his loving family, Dónal, beloved husband of the late Nora (née O’Sullivan), loving father of Darragh, Colm and Roisin, adored Opa/granda of Lia, Olivia, Beth, James and Maeve, and brother of Mary (Haugh), Paddy and Martin. Sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Monica and Melissa, son-in-law Tony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins especially Mary McGee (née Meaney), extended family, neighbours, friends and his loyal dog Murty.
May he rest in peace.
Lying in repose at Crowley’s Funeral Home, Ballincollig on Wednesday (25th February) from 6pm to 7pm for visitation. Requiem Mass on Thursday (26th) at 11am at the Church of St John the Baptist, Ovens which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/ovens . Funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
