The death has occurred of
Doris Carroll
CARROLL, Doris, (née Herwig) – 13th of April 2025, (Ballyfermot and formerly Castlebellingham), Formerly of Aer Lingus. Flying high again as the first German Aer Lingus hostess, to join her beloved daughter Helga and husband Brendan. She leaves behind her devastated daughter Elfrieda, Helga's husband Stuart, nieces, nephews and a myriad of friends and family including the amazing staff of Hazel and Willow Units Cherry Orchard Hospital who lovingly cared for her in the last five years. Service in the church where she married St Mary's Family flowers only, donations if desired to the Irish Red Cross who brought her to Ireland as a part of Operation Shamrock in 1946.

Doris will be reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Ballyfermot on Tuesday afternoon, the 15th of April from 3-5pm. Removal on Wednesday morning, the 16th of April to the Church of St. Mary, Haddington Road, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Mount Jerome at 11:30.
