Dr. Chioma ENE

The death has occurred of Dr Chioma Ene (Doctor at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny) of Bourlum Court, Green Road, Carlow and formerly of Clonmel, Co Tipperary, Clondakin, Dublin and Enugu, Nigeria, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on January 4th, 2026 at her home.

 

Beloved mother of Bisona Ene-Ngati, treasured sister of Emeka Ene, Ebele Ene, Ibe Ene and Oke Ene , cherished daughter of the late Professor John C. Ene and late Dr Mrs Ngozi Ene and treasured niece of Dr Dan Ene (representing the Canon Ene Family), Rtd. Justice Lewechi Onwuchekwa and Prof (Mrs) Oluokwukwe Nwana (representing the Onwuchekwa family).

 

Chioma will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, brothers, sisters, brother-in-law Wolfgang Niesielski, sisters-in-law Ijeoma Ene and Tochi Ene, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

 

Resting at Carpenters Funeral Home Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Friday, January 23rd from 5pm until 7pm that evening.

 

Removal from there on Saturday morning at 10.30am, to the St Mary’s Church, Castlehill, Carlow, (Eircode R93 YW77) arriving for Funeral Service at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

 

The family of the late Dr. Chioma Ene would be grateful for your presence at refreshments in the Church of Ireland Community House, Haymarket , Carlow (Eircode R93 E103), immediately after the burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow, as they gather in remembrance and comfort.
