Dr. Eugene Joseph (Gene) Cooper
COOPER (Brownstown, Ardfield, also Herkenrath, Germany, and Stamford, Connecticut): On December 27th 2023 peacefully in Vinzenz Pallotti Hospital after a short illness. DR. EUGENE JOSEPH (Gene), beloved husband of Eileen (Ellen Mary) née O’Sullivan, loving father to Déirdre, Niamh and Brian, adoring grandfather to Katie and Aoife. Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, son, and grandchildren, Déirdre’s partner Alexander, Brian’s partner Anne, sisters Alice-Jean, the late Barbara, and Donna-Marie, brothers the late Gary, Timothy, Michael, and David, sisters-in-law Margaret, Karen, and the late Elizabeth, Mary, Marie and Shevaun, brothers-in-law Luis, David, Gerard, PJ and the late Morgan, all nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and wide circle of friends.
Funeral Mass in St. James’ Church, Ardfield, on Friday, 21st June 2024, at 3pm, this will be livestreamed here, followed by Burial of Ashes in the adjoining cemetery. With heartfelt thanks to Professor Patrick Hannon and Bruno Wachten for the Masses.
