The death has occurred of
Dr. JOHN THOMPSON
Dr. JOHN THOMPSON (Midleton) died peacefully at home on February 25th 2026 in the presence of his wife Diana and daughters Gráinne, Róisin, Clódagh and Aoife.
Predeceased by his parents Dr. Michael and Maim Thompson and his grandson - Baby Laoí.
John will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, brother Edmond, grandchildren Charlie, Kate, Úna, Sally, George, Carter, Finn, Gracie, Killian, nieces, nephews, sons-in-law Bob (Fitzgerald), Cathal (O’Donnell), Gareth (Clegg), Martin (Curtin) and sisters-in-law.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mike Thompson, CUH Dialysis Unit and the wonderful home carers.

John will repose at Hyde's Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton, P25VW02, on Thursday 26th from 5pm–6.30pm.
Reception into the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton on Saturday 28th for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
The Mass will also be available to view LIVE ONLY on www.midletonparish.ie
