Dr. Margaret Shea

Dr. Margaret  Shea  passed away (peacefully)  in Christ in her 85th year after a short illness.   Margaret served the Galway community throughout her career as a Public Health Physician. 

Dearly beloved youngest  daughter of the late Dr. Stephen Shea  and Professor Margaret Shea and much loved sister of the late Dr. Ailish O’Keefe, Dr. Michael ,  Dr. Stephen  and Dr. John. R.I.P.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her sister-in-law Janet Shea (Toronto, Canada),  her loving cousins in particular Moya and Lorraine, nephews, nieces, grand nieces and grandnephews , her God children in Ireland and across the world, her wonderful carers  in particular Ruby, Kathy and Cora, her neighbours and friends. 

Private Removal to arrive at St. Ignatius (Jesuit) Chuch, Sea Road on Friday, 29th August for  Requiem  Mass   at 11 a.m..  Funeral   after Mass to Rahoon cemetery.  House Private.   For those  who would have liked to attend the funeral but cannot do so at this time, you are invited to leave a personal message in the condolence section below.  This will be gratefully appreciated by the family.    If you are attending the Funeral parlour, Church or cemetery please follow Government guidelines on social distancing, hand shaking and wearing masks.  

A life-long member of St. Ignatius Parish who will be long remembered for her deep faith and her quiet, humble and generous spirit.   Re-united with her loved ones,,
