The death has occurred of
Dr. Maurice Hurley
The death has taken place of Dr. Maurice Hurley, Clash Road, Curraheen, Cork and late of Mallow, Co. Cork, (former Consultant of Radiation Oncology at Cork University Hospital), who passed away peacefully on June 15th 2025 at Marymount University Hospice and Hospital, Cork.
Beloved husband of the late Maura (née O'Connor), dear father of Keith, Elaine and Valerie and brother of the late Catherine (Andrews).
Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Floor, sons-in-law Steve and Gerry, grandchildren Kai, Fionn, Siffrin, Mia, James, Emma, Rachel and Katie, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May He Rest In Peace.
Lying in repose at Crowley's Funeral Home, Ballincollig (P31 W982) on Wednesday (June 18th) from 6pm with Prayers at 7pm.
Reception into the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy's Cross, Cork on Thursday (June 19th) for Requiem Mass at 11am which may be viewed on Holy Spirit - Church Live Stream.
Funeral afterwards to St. James' Cemetery, Chetwynd.
The family would like to thank sincerely the A&E and Ward 5B of Cork University Hospital and the staff of St. Catherine's Ward of Marymount Hospice, Cork for the exceptional care shown to Maurice in recent weeks.
