Dr. Oscar de Souza

It is with deep sadness that the De Souza family share the news of Oscars death, suddenly, and peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at University Hospital, Galway, on 14 August, 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Anthansio and Fidelina, brother Brigalds and sister Effie.

 

He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Nora, sons Bernard, Brian and Christopher, grandchildren Aidan, Róisín, Rachel and Aóibhín. Oscar will be fondly remembered by his brothers Donald and Christopher, sister Nora, daughters-in-law Deirdre, Michelle and Orla, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Tony and James, sisters-in-law Anne-Marie, Christina, Maria and Bridie, extended family, neighbours, colleagues and many friends.

 

Oscar will repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Monday 19 August 2024 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Removal after to the Church of the Resurrection, Ballinfoyle, Galway. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Oscar on Tuesday 20 August 2024 at 11 a.m. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Rinville Cemetery.
