The death has occurred of
Dr. Raymond Gillespie
Gillespie, Dr Raymond, MRIA, Drumcondra, Dublin, and formerly Belfast. Historian, Maynooth University, on 8th February 2024 in the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Annie Gillespie, Belfast.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife and best friend, Bernadette Cunningham, his sisters-in-law, Mary Cunningham (Galway) and Teresa Cotter (Ennistymon), his brother-in-law Pat Cunningham (Corofin), relatives, colleagues and many good friends.
Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, D03 EC52 on Saturday (10th February) from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Sunday (11th February) to St Columba’s Church, Iona Rd, Glasnevin, D09 X578 arriving for Funeral Service at 1pm. Prayer Service on Monday (12th February) in St Colman’s Church, Corofin, Co. Galway, H54 X768 at 11.30am prior to burial in Kilmoylan Cemetery, Co. Galway.
