Stephen passed away peacefully on 18 January 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Galway University Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Phil, sisters Maureen and Una, brothers Brendan, Tom, Pat, Liam, Mossie and Kevin.
Deeply missed by his loving children Vernon, Sharon, Damien and Ronan, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Olwyn and Niamh, son-in-law Nadeem, his grandchildren Adam, Shireen, Tanya, Hannah, Ciara, Stephen, Emily, Cillian, Ava, Gavin and James and by all his relatives and friends. Thanks to all involved in his care.

Funeral Arrangements
Friday, 23 January 2026
Stephen will lie in repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, (H91 V1K8) from 5pm. Removal at 6:30pm to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill arriving at 7 p.m. approximately.
Saturday, 24th January 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Stephen at 11 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Phil in Rahoon cemetery. Mass will be live streamed
