Dr. William (Willie, Bill) Joseph O’Connor,

Carraroe and Ballymote, Co. Sligo and formerly of Ballycastle, Co. Mayo, January 13th 2024,

peacefully, after a short illness in the tender care of the staff at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Maria, brothers John and Gerard and sisters Chris and Anna. Beloved father of Sineád, Adrian and Phelim and father-in-law of Sineád and Shaun. William will be sorely missed by his grandchildren Muireann, Ella, Luke, Finn, Liam and Elin, all of whom he adored, his nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in peace.

Reposing at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo (F91EH98), on Tuesday, January 16th, from 4:30pm with removal at 6pm to Saint John’s Church, Carraroe, Sligo, arriving for reception prayers at 6.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17th, at 11am. Burial follows in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
