On Thursday, 22 December,  Dympna died at University Hospital, Galway with her family  at her side. Pre-deceased by her parents Philip and Julie.

Deeply mourned by her heartbroken family, her husband Michael and sons Kenneth, Philip, Seán and Mark. her sister and brothers Carol, Brian and John, her much loved  grandchildren Olivia, Dean, Jason, Lola and Mya.  She will be sadly missed also by her  daughters-in-law Donna, Edel and Jenni,  the extended Lydon and Casley family, neighbours  and many friends.

Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family funeral parlour, Mervue on Wednesday, 28 December from 4 p.m. to  5.30 p.m. 

Requiem Mass for Dympna will be celebrated on Thursday, 29 December at  10 a.m. at  St. Brigid’s Church, Ballybane.    Funeral after Mass to the new cemetery, Bohermore.
