Eamon Dooley Backlands, Rath passed away peacefully on Sunday 1st March at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his Father Patrick, Mother Margaret, Sisters Maureen and Breda, brothers Pakie and Seamus, brother in law Dennis. Beloved husband of Brigid , Loved father of Padraig , Bosco , Fergal, Bláithín and Éadaoin .Sadly missed by his brother Mikey , Sister Madge, grandchildren Niall, Cian, Cadhla and Patrick , daughters-in-law Caroline and Marsha, Éadaoin's partner Niall, sister-in-law Catherine, nieces and nephews.

Reposing in Boyd's Funeral Home, Birr (R42YF75) on Wednesday 4th March from 5.00pm till 7.00pm. Funeral mass on Thursday 5th March at 11.00am in St. John's Church, Rath (R42YT67) followed by burial afterwards in Rath cemetery.
