Eamonn Murray

Murray, Gerald Griffin St, Cork; Eamonn, ex C.I.E. ex Transport R.F.C. (Skipper). Fixtures Secretary and President of Munster Association of Referees (M.A.R.), who passed away peacefully on Saturday April 12th 2025. Much loved husband of Madeleine (née Casey), loving father of Susan, Paul, Elaine, Seán, Tony and Eamon, loving grandad of the late Clíona and dearest brother of the late Marie, Breda and Cyril.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, daughters, sons, grandchildren Kieran, Rían, Glen, Shauna, David, Connor, Eimear, Ella, Tomás, Saoirse, Conall and Saibh, brother Séan, sons-in-law Mark and Pat, daughters-in-law Teresa (Heit), Valerie (Milne), Ciara (McSweeney) and Cíara (Walsh).

Visitation at O' Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Tuesday April 15th from 5.00pm to 6.00pm, with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass in The North Cathedral on Wednesday April 16th at 12.00 noon, which will be live-streamed on https://www.churchservices.tv/corkcathedral Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarr's Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Medical Staff at the Mercy University Hospital, particularly Dr. L. Moloney for her care and compassion. They would also like to thank the Staff and Cardiac Surgeon in Cork University Hospital, particularly the staff of the Coronary Unit, and a special thanks to our public health nurse Maura.
