Eddie Byrne

Eddie Byrne, Mount Carmel, Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Fr. Albert Place, Kilkenny City, died peacefully, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, surrounded by his devoted and loving family, on Friday 9th February 2024. Predeceased by his wife Mamie, parents, Jack and Alice, brother Michael and sister Frances. Eddie will be deeply missed by his sons Sean and Michael, daughters-in-law Phyllis and Brid, brothers Kevin, Jimmy and sister Una. Eddie will be forever missed by his grandchildren Declan, Ciara, Katie and Niall, great-grandchildren Molly and Cillian, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City, on Sunday evening, 11th February, from 5pm, concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday (12th) at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Kilkenny City, followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery.
