Eddie (Edward) Higgins

The death has occurred of Eddie (Edward) Higgins, Drumbaragh, Kells and formerly of Cabra, Dublin, 1st March 2026. Secretary of NERL and ex HSE, Kells. Eddie passed away peacefully in the tender and loving care of St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown after a short illness bravely borne at 69 years of age.

Predeceased by his parents Eddie and May. Eddie will be sadly missed by his devoted wife and best friend Bernie, his treasured sons Dean (Michelle) and Nathan (Zoe), his cherished and adored grandchildren Ava, Max and Cameron, his precious sister Pauline (Declan), his nieces, nephews, many cousins, the Hughes family, the Murphy family, his NERL football family, colleagues in the HSE, his neighbours and friends and all who knew him and loved him.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday (3rd March) from 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock. Removal at 10.40 Wednesday morning for family only please. Arriving at St. Colmcille's Church, Kells for funeral mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Colmcille's Cemetery.
