Edel Purdy
Edel Purdy (Friary Grove, Smithfield ; late of Craigie Court, Finglas and ARC – Crumlin) passed away suddenly at home on 26th February 2026; Beloved daughter of the late Austin and sister of the late Michael and Brian. She will be sadly missed by her loving mother Violet, daughters Lauren and Georgia, grandchildren Harry, Louie and Gia, partner Darren, son-in-law Zack, her best friend Janette, Peter, Tina, godson Jamie, sister-in-law Karen, niece Sienna, her friends Denise, Donald and Suzanne, The extended Purdy & Murphy families, her wonderful work colleagues whom she was unbelievable close to, relatives in England, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Bourke’s Funeral Home, 71 Queen Street, Dublin 7 from 4pm to 7pm on Friday evening (6th March). Edel’s Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday morning (7th March) at 11am in St Michan’s Church, Halston Street followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Cemetery
