Edmond J. Hickey

The death has occurred of Edmond J. Hickey, Owenriff Way, Oughterard, Co. Galway and formerly of Sydney, Australia and Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin.

Edmond Hickey of Oughterard, Co. Galway passed away peacefully on 4th December in Galway University Hospital. Ed will be sadly missed by his much loved daughters, Taryn and Bébhinn, who are shocked by the suddenness of his death. He is predeceased by his brother, Michael, who died 13th March, 2024, is sadly missed by his sisters, Rosemary and Genevieve and his brother Andrew. Deeply regretted by Dóirín, sisters-in-law, Camille and Ute, brother-in-law Noel, nieces and nephews to whom he was a much loved Uncle, his cousins, and his friends, Maksi and Martin, who supported him during his illness. He will be missed by his circle of friends at home, and in Australia.

May he rest in peace.

Dóirín, Taryn and Bébhinn will welcome his friends and extended family for Edmond’s Reposing at Walsh’s Funeral Home, Oughterard (H91EV52) on Sunday, December 8th from 1pm to 2.30pm followed by Cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 11am, on Monday, 9th of December.
