Edward Aherne

The death has occurred of Edward (Eddo) Aherne of Dunshaughlin, Co Meath (formerly Hartstown and Finglas East). Born 29th December 1949, passed away peacefully in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, on January 1st, 2024.

Eddo will be sadly missed by his loving wife Josephine, sons Dave, Paul, Gary, Philip and Edward, daughters-in-law Siobhan, Roberta, Mercia, Niamh and Jess, grandchildren Ben, Holly, Callum, Amy, Caitlin, Leo, Casey and Cadhla, siblings Liam, Philly, Tony, Agnes, Robbie. Also brother of his beloved late sister Mary.

Reposing at his home, 10 The Dales, Dunshaughlin, Co Meath (A85YE89), on Thursday, January 4th, from 5-8pm. A Celebration of Eddo's Life will be held at Mc Entaggart's Funeral Home, Dunshaughlin (A85 DE70), Co Meath, at 11.30am Friday, January 5th, followed by a cremation ceremony in Glasnevin Cemetery at 1pm.

The family would like to welcome everyone to Peter's Pub, Dunshaughlin, afterwards for refreshments and to reminisce about this wonderful person we called Husband, Dad, Grandad, Brother, Uncle and friend.
