Edward (Eddie) Doyle

The death has occurred of Edward (Eddie)  Doyle, Mountdaisy, Castlebar and formerly of Kimmage, Dublin, peacefully, at Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar, on May 29th, 2015, after a long illness. He was aged 73 years. Eddie was an avid piano player and passed on his skill as a musician to his children and grandchildren. By trade Eddie was a painter and decorator and worked for many years with the Western Health Board (HSE).  Eddie was known for his generosity of spirit and understated humour.

He will  be sadly missed by his wife Patricia (Patsy) (nee Joyce), his daughters Liz (Blake), Doreen (Lawless) New York and his sons Edward and Peter, his sons-in-law Michael Blake and Hugh Lawless (New York), daughter-in-law Roberta Heverin and grandchildren Zara Blake, Doreen Blake, Haidee Doyle, Lachlin Doyle, Lena Doyle, Simon Lawless, Atticus Lawless and Cai Doyle and great-grandson Caleb Blake, his brothers Larry Doyle, Castlebar, Thomas Doyle, Ballyfermot, Dublin,  Peter Doyle, Manchester, his sisters, Monica Carrie, Ballyfermot, Dublin and Marie Doyle, Longford, sisters-in-law Florance Doyle and Mary Donnellan, his aunt Bridie Stewart, Dublin, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Reposing at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas St., Castlebar, on Sunday from 5pm with removal at 7pm to  St. Patrick’s  Church, Ballyheane, Castlebar, arriving at 7.45pm. Mass on Monday at 11am with the funeral proceeding to the adjoining cemetery.
