The death has occurred of
Edward (Eddie) MONAHAN
It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Edward (Eddie) Monahan, Newtown, Clonlara, Co. Clare, aged 95 years.
On April 5th 2026, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Madge, parents Michael and Bridget Monahan, brothers Paddy and Michael, sisters Bridget and Mary.
Deeply missed by his heartbroken children Aidan, Gerardine (Hannan), Niall, Liam and Rosemarie (Fitzgerald), daughters-in-law Christine, Marie and Lillian, sons-in-law Patrick and Tom, adored grandchildren Padraig, Daniel, Conor, Megan, Amy, Cian, Mark, Shane and Emma, sister-in-law Mary Burke, nephews, nieces, extended family, many neighbours and friends.

Eddie will repose in St. Senan’s Church Clonlara (V94 A7N5) Wednesday, April 8th, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass Thursday, April 9th, at 11am, followed by burial in Doonass Cemetery.
