WOODS, Edward, known lovingly to all as EDDIE, North Inner City, (formerly of Nelson Street), Dublin 1, 1st November, 2023 peacefully after an illness so bravely borne, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loved ones. Predeceased by his loving parents Josephine and Peter Woods, his sister Josie and brother Peter. Eddie will be dearly missed by his sons Christopher and Keith and his only daughter Emma and their mother Angela, his treasured grandchildren Isabelle, Lennox, Brogan and Hallie, brothers Frank and John, sister Philomena (Phil), nieces and nephews, extended family, lifelong friends and treasured neighbours.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Doctors and Staff at The Mater Hospital, Dublin for the care and attention they gave helping to care for Eddie over the past few weeks, is so appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Eddie will repose at Jennings Funeral Directors, Amiens Street, Dublin 1 (D01 N2F5) on Friday, 3rd November, 2023, from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday morning, 4th November, 2023 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church, Berkeley Road, Dublin 7 (D07 F952), followed by a Cremation Service at Glasnevin Crematorium, Dublin 11 (D11 XA32).
