McMullen (Barretts Terrace, off Blarney Street, Cork); On June 26th 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and with May by his side and in the tender loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Brigid’s Ward at the Mercy University Hospital; Edwin (founder member of Iona Basketball Club); Beloved partner and best friend of May and loving step-father of Grace and Laura. Beloved brother of the late Amelia, Marie, Alec and Jim.

Sadly missed by May, his step-daughters, step-grandchildren Abi, Shannon-May, Liam and Tammy, sisters Helen, Jenny, Rose, Sadie and Pauline, brothers Michael, Junior and Pat, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives, neighbours and close friends.

Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Saturday 28th June from 5.00pm to 6.00pm with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass on Monday 30th June at 12 Noon in the North Cathedral. Edwin’s Mass can be viewed on the following link: https://www.churchservices.tv/corkcathedral. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Curraghkippane.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Una Clancy and the staff of The Mercy University Hospital and Cork University Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Edwin over the past few days.
