EILEEN CUNNIFFE
(née Connolly)
Cunniffe (nee Connolly) Eileen. Lavally, Loughrea Road, Gort, Co. Galway and formerly of Carnane, Kilcolgan. Passed away peacefully on Sunday the 3rd of April 2022, surrounded by her loving family whilst in the tender care of the staff of Galway University Hospital. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Barry by her parents, brothers Frank and Charlie and sister Rosaleen. Cherished and much loved, Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving sons Barry, Stephen and Jamie and by her daughters-in-law Mary and Jenny, adored by her grandchildren Jade (New York), Ethan (Van Couver), Cian, Tara, Katie and Barry Jnr. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Mary Connolly, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, cousins, wonderful neighbours, loyal friends and by the extended Cunniffe and Connolly families.

Eileen will Lie in repose at her son Stephen’s residence Lavally, Loughrea Road, Gort, on Tuesday evening, April 5th, from 5pm until 7pm. Private removal on Wednesday morning to St. Colman’s Church, Gort, for requiem Mass at 11am. Eileen will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Gort. The family wish to thank most sincerely all the doctors and nurses who cared for Eileen in her final days and special thanks to all at Gort Medical centre for the great care given to Eileen over the years.
